Hanukkah

Hanukkah, Hunnukah, sometimes called ‘The Festival of Lights’.

There is no ‘official’ way that I know of, 😆 to spell channukah, Hanukkah, 🙃which in the book on the left of this photo, my Siddur, is spelt Chanukah.😃🤣🤣.

Hanukkah commemorates the Maccabees (Hasmonean) victories, itself a miracle, and an event in The Temple during the re-dedication of the defiled Temple on Kislev 25, 164 bce.
By chance of calendars, this year Channukah overlaps the Latin Christmas and new year so we can add, peace and good will to all mankind and wishing you your best year yet.🙂
On the first night only when lighting the candles we recite, “Blessed are you – the Lord our God, King of the universe, who has kept us alive, sustained us, and enabled us to reach this season”.🥰⚓
