As the weather here begins to turn chilly, I’m beginning to organise my visit to a sunnier clime, Toulouse and Gaillac, late November.
I’m warming myself thinking of sunny days in the wine regions, of places like the South facing Chateau de Saurs, while my thoughts turn to ‘how do I restart the central heating’ and when ‘should I bring in wood for the fire’ …
Time to start wearing extra layers of clothing, to lay aside summer ‘shorts’ and as my dear ‘ol Mum used to say with a smile, “winter draws on”.
The web site page updated today 11.10.19 is of the magnificent ‘Chateau de Saurs’ in the Gaillacois Tarn region.
It measures 76 x 121 cm (30″ x 48″) and is available, £12,000
Much of this impressive work was painted on the location.
