Inspiration’s companions include mood, self confidence, concentration; what / who else?
Have you spotted my sketch book bottom right in the first photo?
Yesterday evening at Le Canotier, Théhillac may or may not have been inspired, it certainly produced a reaction from ‘children of all ages’ around me.
Sometimes our fickle friend ‘Inspiration’ joins me of an evening + a beer or glass of wine in a quite corner in a pleasent bar.
Last night I’d not expected to be invited to join 3 rd adjoint (‘2nd mate’ in nautical terms, to the mayor) Cyrille Leleu, his family and friends who generously made me very welcome.
Most of yesterday afternoon passed looking at possibilities, various ways the ideas discussed with my client J Leeson and son, could best be expressed.
My new sketches are not quite completed yet, 3 out of 4 worked up ‘at the bar’, not a bad score given the distraction of a congenial evening; I’m working up the last sketch today; imminent.
The quality of life in Théhillac has improved dramatically.
Following much effort by the mayor M. Lemee and his conseillers, the bar and restaurant recently re opened, now run by a delightful French couple, Didier and Veronique.
With lunches from as little as 10 Euros, I’ve not tried there yet but the smells issuing from the kitchen and bon ambiance bode well.
