Friends, the pleasure of an expected visitor, 😃 a friend from far astern.
Ian and his camera shy lady friend came to stay for a long weekend.🙂
By day they were out n about exploring some of the extraordinary delights of southern Brittany.
I’m somewhat ‘incapacitated’ at present to basket in the luxury of someone else cooking and washing dishes !😄
Long evening yarns followed, Ian an I go back a long way.
I first met Ian at Porthpean Sailing Club (near St Austell, Cornwall) because we both sailed Scorpion class boats.
Ian was an apprentice with Westerly Boats at Rock & I studied ship and boat building at Falmouth Tech.
Many reminisces followed. It was nice to be reminded he celebrated his 21st 🎈🥳🎈at my house because his birthday was on the same day as my (then ) wife.😃⚓
