Painting Château Lafite Rothschild, a painting while looking for subjects while touring in the Medoc region (for my ‘Famous Wine Villages of Bordeaux’ series).
I spontaneously stopped my car to immediately paint this picture, 40 x 50 cm (15¾” x 19¾”), 1,200 £.
Painting
I saw this sight, had no idea which château this is, I simple responded strongly to the scene and the extraordinary light on that warm Medoc evening.
I took a roadside risk with the light, colours and not least, the traffic…
