The identity of the person who recently sent me two bottles of excellent French wine is revealed, at least to me…
The story is beautiful and a bit confidential. I’ll explain when I’m allowed to, in about a year’s time.
Sufficient to say, the person is a craftsman who specializes in musical making instruments, admires my marine paintings so we are helping each other with a project.
I consider myself very fortunate to be able to try two of these wines.
They are of and from an interesting, small region in the upper Loire Valley.
I have read about it in The Larousse Guide to French Wines, never visited though.
Wines from Le Caveau Bugiste, Vongnes (01350) T: 04 79 87 92 32
I only lack a suitable ‘drinking’ companion.
I’m quietly confident a ‘volunteer and suitable ‘Bon Heure’ (beautiful moment) will present in due time.
Maybe with you?

I have a passion for the subject of wines and foods, consequently, and the idea originated at the dinner table of French friends in Brest (Dept Finisterre) I have famously painted in the Bordeaux, Gaillac and Carcassonne wine districts.
