BBQ ?
BBQ for dinner here, as an overdue thank you for their hospitality and gourmet foods, friends of mine, a couple, one French the other Russian, from La Roche-Bernard proposed a BBQ which seemed like a good idea.
Despite my protestations they insisted on arriving with enough food for six.
Upon arrival they promptly commandeered my kitchen. Accompanied to very Russian Rachmaninov on my CD player, prepared a gorgeous repass, steaks, home made chips, salads and curried chicken pieces as a sauce.
Another fine friend arrived with good English beer and a bottle of Cointreau.
Despite my good intentions, I was reduced to servant and wine waiter 🥹😆😆😆.
Tasks I managed tolerably well including producing some very good Bordeaux from my reserve and as is my way; liqueurs to finish.🙂
We agreed a re-run will be needed when I hope to produce at least some of the foods 😄😇😉🙂⚓
