Five out of Five, the paintings
Painted to see what would happened if I painted five landscapes each picture painted at the same place, same time of day on successive days,
My objective being to see how my colour and emotional response varied.
I chose this landscape from one of my regular walks while living in the magical 13 th century bastide of Castelnau de Montmiral, cornfields and forests, in Southern France. 🙂.
The painting has strong, harmonious colours, good depth and balanced composition, pleasing texture and is very original in it’s conception and execution.
Five out of Five, the paintings have distinctive, resonating, enduring qualities in part because I have an unusually rich form of colour vision, I don’t see colour as ‘colour normal people see.
These qualities are gifts I have in common with some of the greatest past masters including Cézanne Degas, Dürer, Titian and Rembrandt, Monet.
