Haut-Medoc
with a long water frontage parts of the region have a distinctly maritime feel, a long history, with vineyards first planted way back in prehistoric times, today offering you a selection of over 300 wines, predominately red and white and many fine restaurants
Château Roc de Cambes is generally considered an out standing example to a good wine from Haut Medoc.
The Haut Medoc reds are mostly based on Merlot, usually simple and approachable in style, the best of the red wines can age well but not for to long, they often display delightful sophistication.
