Landscape paintings in France paintings as experiments
My objective here is to see how my colour and emotional response varies.
During my studies at The Painting School of Montmiral my mentor has made me aware that there are qualities, gifts I have in common with some of the greatest past masters including Cézanne Degas, Dürer, Titian and Rembrandt, Monet.
Thus on this page and many others on this website, each painting is created to see what would happened if.
Each painting as with many of my landscapes particularly this series painted mostly in the Tarn region while attending The Painting School of Montmiral, represents a new challenge.
A visual possibility is explored, colour pyrotechnics, reversed colour perspective, mixing paint using the methods of Cezanne and Monet and so on.

My Mentor at The Painting School of Montmiral learned from a Polish painter who learned from the famous Pierre Bonnard who was a friend of and learned from Paul Cezanne. , he and I share some characteristics including our unusual eye sight, we share an unusually vivid colour experience.
We also use similar techniques when mixing paint.
Rejected by galleries, Monet found a market for his work by exhibiting in Paris with other painters all friends of his.
So far I’ve not had a similar opportunity for my landscape painting
