Gordon Frickers retains an ambition to return to Israel and paint, the land and city scapes, the people, the politics the legends; an ambitious project, beyond his means without a sponsor; Who benefits?
The landscape art work introduced here was mostly produced in the mid 1980′s.
At one level it is a unique link with the earlier paintings of the Holy Land by David Roberts (1839) and Israel today.

Curiously there are many echoes of David Roberts work, although at the time Gordon Frickers was unaware of David Roberts ‘paintings of the Holy Land’.
