Israel paintings, a place to paint in the sun or more?
The Art in Israel of Gordon Frickers.
Israel, a little country is a land as varied and beautiful as any on this rock we all inhabit.
Israel is a land rich in histories, controversial, challenging, Israel has and continues to be an inspiration to countless millions.
Reflections on Israel
Whether you agree or not with all Israel has, does and aspires to stand for one has to admitt the land of Israel has contributed to shaping our philosophies, our morals, our aspirations our profoundest thoughts.
Gordon Frickers retains an ambition to return to Israel and paint, the land and city scapes, the people, the politics the legends; an ambitious project, beyond his means without a sponsor; Who benefits?
The landscape art work introduced here was mostly produced in the mid 1980′s.
At one level it is a unique link with the earlier paintings of the Holy Land by David Roberts (1839) and Israel today.

Curiously there are many echoes of David Roberts work, although at the time Gordon Frickers was unaware of David Roberts ‘paintings of the Holy Land’.
